Certifications & Safety
Nugget Cover Sets are GREENGUARD Gold certified, which means they were rigorously screened and scientifically tested for more than 15,000 VOCs. Nugget Cover Sets passed the strictest requirements with flying colors, so they don’t emit any harmful chemicals. You can rest easy and play all day, knowing our products are safe for children, families, and the environment.
No harmful flame retardant chemicals are applied to the the fabric, and our products still pass California's TB-117 fire safety regulation.

This is my third cover set (we have two that came with our nuggets). Both have been washed many times. I purchased a new cover in fairway, and it shed green fuzz all over my washer, likely a fabric issue. Cleaned my washer and tried again, same thing happened. When I contacted customer service, they did not want to help. I am upset because we love nuggets, and would likely buy more than the two we have in the future, but I would never purchase again considering they were less than helpful to fix the situation. I'm out $120 for covers that we can't use (I do not want green fuzz all over my house).

Why do you offer extra Cover Sets — don’t they already come with the Nugget?
Yes, every Nugget couch ships to you with fabric already on it. But in the event of spills, stains, smudges, and scuffs, new decor, or just a change in the seasons, it’s good to know you’ve got things — wait for it — covered. We’ll be here all week.
Are Cover Sets washable?
Yes! Our fabric is really durable, and machine washing works great — just unzip the covers from the foam and zip them back up before throwing in the machine. To preserve color, wash on the coldest setting on your machine with only Nugget pieces of the same color, and hang dry to prevent shrinking. We recommend using clear-color detergents like All's Free Clear. For the small stuff, you can spot clean with a moist cloth or a carpet/upholstery cleaning solution.
Are they difficult to take off and put back on?
Not at all — with zippers that run around the outer edge of each piece, switching covers is a breeze. Just unzip the fabric, pop out the foam, lay the fresh fabric cover on the floor, and put the foam inside. It’s so easy, a kid could do it — getting them to do it is a different story.
Why are individual cover pieces no longer available?
It’s true, we used to offer replacement fabric for individual pieces of the Nugget (base, cushion, or pillow), and we may again in the future. For now, our focus is on serving as many Nugget customers as possible, which means focusing our warehouse operation on Nugget couches and full fabric sets.
Why are some colors a different price?
The cost of a Cover Set varies depending on the fabric and collection type. Cover Sets made with our original, classic microsuede fabric are $119. Our cozy, double-brushed microsuede Cover Sets are $139. And our luxe and textured corduroy Cover Sets are $149.
