We’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with The World of Eric Carle: The Very Hungry Caterpillar Nugget, available 11/8 only at the Nugget Shop. As longtime fans of Eric Carle’s art, it’s a dream come true for Nugget to work with the amazing people at The World of Eric Carle, who love and support creativity, art, and curiosity for kids through the extensive works from Eric Carle as well as the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.
Of Eric Carle’s vast illustration portfolio, the designs that stood out the most during our preliminary design work were the sketches, the works in progress that show the direction and possibility but left the final product open to the imagination. These sketches inspired us to pick up our own pens and start drawing!

When will the Nugget be available?
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Special Edition Nugget will be available at 12pm ET on November 8th. This microsuede print will be available as a Cover Set for $149 and a full Nugget for $269.
What's the return policy?
Due to the limited nature of this Special Edition, licensed product, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Nuggets and Cover Sets are final sale purchases and are not eligible for cancelation, return or 30-day trial.
Will there be an item limit in checkout?
Yes! Again, due to the limited nature of this Special Edition product, you'll only be able to add 1 Nugget and 1 Cover Set to your cart. Our team reserves the right to cancel any orders placed beyond this limit.
How long will this Nugget be available?
This Special Edition product is a one-time release — once it sells out, it's gone! We can't predict exactly how quickly that will happen, but we recommend ordering soon after release if you have your heart set on this print!
Is the fabric regular microsuede or double-brushed?
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Nugget is made using our classic, magical microsuede fabric. Standard Nugget care instructions apply and can be found on the FAQs page of our site!
Is the pattern printed in the same way on every product?
We love creating Special Edition, one-of-a-kind patterns for our Nuggeteers... and they're truly one-of-a-kind! Each The Very Hungry Caterpillar Nugget and Cover Set has a tossed, non-directional pattern which allows for the least amount of fabric waste possible – and makes every product truly unique. Thanks to this intentional choice, each final product can have a slightly different number of apples, pears, strawberries and caterpillars on it as the next.
Is the cover meant to be colored on?
No. This design is inspired by Eric Carle’s sketches, which show the process of drawing and creation from early ideas to completion. Budding artists are encouraged to explore the world of illustration using other, more traditional mediums, like paper or canvas!
