The Playtime Playbook

  • Chunk is for ages 3+ years old for imagination, exploration, and adventure — not for sleeping!
  • There should never be heavy items on top of Chunk when someone is inside or underneath.
  • Push it, move it, or roll it from the living room to the playroom to the kids’ room — just keep play in open spaces, not on or around stairs, and use with caution on hard surfaces.

The creators of the famous Nugget®... have created the product’s little sister: an equally attractive, play-encouraging ottoman. “Real furniture can be a Trojan horse for a toy,” says Nugget CEO and co-founder David Baron. 

Nugget’s products embrace that idea, extending an olive branch to kids. Made of four circular, microsuede-covered foam parts with a modern look that blends in with adult furniture, users aged 3 and up can “nest” in Chunk’s parts, roll them around, or reconfigure them for “open-ended play,” Baron says.

    So excited!

    My Granddaughter was so excited to get the Chunk added to her Nugget set. She has so much more versatility and is able to build larger structures. The pieces are all strong enough to hold her weight and very well made. One day she has a ship, the next a post office and the next a playroom with a door to keep the dogs out. It’s a wonderful flexible indoor play set. We were very pleased with the quality and speed of delivery. The set provides so many opportunities for creative play!

    Great product for all ages

    Our whole family loves it. After bedtime it serves as the perfect ottoman in our family room and during the day it’s a maze, a fort, a jungle gym, and a cozy spot to hang out.

    Love it!

    We may honestly use the chunk more than our regular nugget (I think it helps that it's out all the time because it's basically our coffee table when the kids are asleep at night). It without fail everyday since it arrived has had someone playing on it or lounging in it or using the pucks as stepping stones. So great and will hopefully hold up just as well as our Nugget that we've had for almost 6 years and still looks like it did on day 1!
