How does this work?

We’re letting Nuggeteers into our highly-secretive color vault for a limited time only, while supplies last! 

You can purchase a Retired Cover Set in nine colors outright for $99 (retro colors at retro prices!): Lilypad, Bearhug, Brightside, Cactus, Rodeo, Starfish, Bluejean, Saturn, and Dewdrop. 

We’re also offering a Mystery Cover Set shopping option: For $79, we’ll send you a random retired color. The Mystery Cover Set selection includes all of the previously mentioned colors, plus a few of our most-requested retirees: Majesty, Potion, Rosebud, Blackbeard, Piglet, and Beanstalk.

What are my chances of getting a *super highly coveted* color?

We mathed the math, and your odds are (drumroll, please) approximately one in five. You won’t know what you’re getting until it arrives on your doorstep! 

How long is this available?

The vault is open from 11/29/2024 thru 12/2/2024 while supplies last — which we anticipate won’t be long. Shop ASAP if you see a color you want, or if you want to try your luck with a Mystery Cover Set!

Are these covers covered by the warranty?

No, Retired Cover Sets are not covered by the Limited Warranty.

What’s the return policy?

Retired Cover Sets, including Mystery Cover Sets, are final sale and cannot be returned.

Will these Cover Sets have the current Nugget features?

Throwback colors also mean throwback zippers, handles, and interior linings! Covers from the Mystery Cover Set sale are coming directly from the Nugget color vault, which means they come in the versions available at their time of retirement, not the current version of the Nugget. Check out our Nugget History page to see what those previous cover evolutions look like.

Can I get a full Nugget instead of a Cover Set?

Not for this special Fri-Yay surprise. If you’re looking to add another full Nugget to your collection, we recommend you shop our current Nugget color selection!

My favorite retired color isn’t included!

Some of our color retirees are notoriously elusive. (It took us ages to lasso up Rodeo to come down to HQ from the ranch.) Broadway and Peachtree? Won’t even return our emails. Still, we’re pretty excited about this selection of beloved colors!
