Welcome to ATL, our new favorite destination.

If you’ve ever seen a Nugget in action, you’ve witnessed the magical ways it can transport a child to new destinations — from an ordinary playroom to distant planets, majestic castles, or the high seas. 

But where can the Nugget take grownups? 

Turns out they’re going places, too! This time, it’s just a short trip down I-85 from our North Carolina HQ.

We’re excited to announce our second physical Nugget location in Atlanta! 

While North Carolina will always be the epicenter of the Nuggetverse, putting down real roots in the A opens up a whole new pool of talented future Nuggeteers to bring on board. Atlanta has always been a vibrant, energetic, and culturally diverse city, and in the last decade or so it has grown into a world-class destination for artists, writers, activists, creators, makers, and lots of other folks that help shape the way we all look at the world. So it just made sense that expansion to ATL would be the perfect fit for the home of an in-house Creative Studio.

Nestled in a Nuggety warehouse space in West Midtown, this new Creative Studio is currently home to a small but mighty and growing team! And as we just moved in, we’re taking some time to meet our neighbors and learn more about this city we now call our home-away-from-North-Carolina-home.

To call Atlanta a vibrant arts scene would be a vast understatement: While the state of Georgia has produced iconic musicians like Gladys Knight, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, REM, and Little Richard, ATL’s seminal hip hop scene has given us artists like OutKast, TLC, and T.I. (Really, we could just list brilliant ATL musicians all day long.) The city’s public art is everywhere — multi-story murals splashed on the sides of condo buildings, and sculptures sprouting from crowded sidewalks. Over the last 15 years, the state of Georgia has become a mecca for filmmakers and TV production studios, and you can spot Atlanta streets in many of your fave TV shows. 

As if all this wasn’t enough, the city’s civil rights legacy is rich; it’s known as the cradle of the Civil Rights movement and today it’s home to the world’s oldest group of historically Black colleges and universities. We love how well the city’s inclusivity aligns with our company’s values. 

All of these things led us down the highway to the City of Trees. As a company, we’re working out the kinks of having teams in two places, but we’re committed to maintaining our company culture across these two places. Our People and Culture team is working hard to ensure that ALL Nuggeteers are able to connect on a regular basis in person via company events and working retreats. And while we’re not planning on a fully remote, “work from literally anywhere” policy any time soon, we’re confident and excited about working as two teams with one goal.

So join us in celebrating the vibrant creative scene of the South — from NC to GA and all the South in between and around. Nugget is thrilled to be a small part of this thriving creativity epicenter — and we’re thrilled to bring you along with us.
