And then came Mega Chunk!

First came the Nugget®.

To celebrate our beloved play couch creation we wanted to do something big — so we built a really giant version at Nugget HQ for our employees to play* with. We named it Mega Nug. It is awesome — literally and figuratively!

Cut to this year. Time to celebrate another BIG milestone! As soon as we launched Chunk™, our brilliant product design team got to work designing a supersized version of The World's First Play Ottoman™.

A lot of math was involved, and while it’s best not to check the numbers too closely, Mega Chunk's total volume is 43x the size of a regular, living room-sized Chunk — the same enormous proportions as the Mega Nug!

It's 9.6 feet wide, 4.2 feet tall, and comes in at a healthy 493 pounds. And after a lot of hand-stuffing of foam into immense round Cover Sets — voila, we have Mega Chunk!

Now that we have the design specs out of the way, you might also be curious about our big plans for Mega Chunk. Read on for answers to the monumental questions that might be on your mind:

Q: Why did you make Mega Chunk?
A: Um, why not?! Have you seen it?!

Q: Does it work like a regular Chunk?
A: Yes! It just takes a few (ok, a lot) more people if you want to move it around.

Q: Have you planned a game of “the floor is lava” for the entire production floor using pucks and Mega Nug triangle pillows?
A: What a silly question. Of course we have!

Q: What about timed trials for rolling it the length of HQ?
A: Way ahead of you.
