That was our guiding principle when we started designing our hot new play chair, Smore™. We wanted to reimagine the ubiquitous foam chair seen in so many kids’ bedrooms — transforming it from a static, single-use item into a dynamic, fun, charming piece of play furniture.
Why? Because other chairs just… sit there. There’s not much you can do with them other than sit in them! Other kids’ chairs are clunky to move and only do one thing. You might even find yourself needing to upgrade it sooner than you think, because kids are constantly growing and ready for the next size (in everything — clothes, bikes, high chairs, carseats — you name it).

Around here, we call it playwithable™. Really, that just means it’s built for imagination, because we want everything in the home to spark kids’ innate creativity. All Nugget® play furniture fulfills our guiding belief that toy minimalism leads to play maximalism, and Smore™ is no exception. A few good building blocks = fertile ground for play!
Smore’s three sturdy pieces (the block, the elbow, and the frame) fit together into a cozy kids’ chair that’s designed for sitting, but destined for playing. When kids are ready for active play, those pieces can be rearranged in infinite new ways — it’s a pirate ship! A school bus! A puppet show!
Smore is lightweight and easy to move
Smore™ is easy for kids to manipulate and move, allowing their imaginations to take the front seat.
One Smore weighs 12 lbs — the sum total of the frame (7 lbs), elbow (3 lbs), and block (2 lbs). Even though the youngest Nuggeteers still might want a hand moving the frame around their bedrooms, the other pieces are easily movable by kids ages two and up.
Smore is a family-friendly play chair
And not just because grownups find it comfy, too! Just like the rest of Nugget play furniture, Smore’s covers can be removed and machine washed. (We got you.) And spot cleaning is a breeze for little everyday messes!

Smore plays well with others
Specifically the Nugget® and Chunk®! Smore’s pieces are perfect flourishes for Nugget+Chunk builds: a regal rooftop for your fort, a cute gate to the Nug Garden, or an extra stall at the unicorn barn.
Smore also has a slightly smaller footprint than its older play furniture siblings, making it perfect as kids’ bedroom furniture. When set up in the main chair configuration, Smore™ is 21.75” high, 27” wide, and 27” deep — not much larger than a standard laundry hamper.
Smore grows with your kid
One major flaw we spotted in most kids’ chairs is that they couldn’t be adjusted in any way. Growth spurt? Too bad. Companies instead offer larger versions of the exact same chair, so parents end up spending two to three times more for multiple outgrown chairs.
Smore fixes that conundrum. The three pieces can be rearranged as a chair in multiple ways depending on your child’s height, so they’ll never outgrow their (new!) favorite chair. No need to upgrade! (Unless you decide you want more than one for bigger forts, of course.)
