How quickly will my Nugget arrive?

With our factory temporarily closed to slow the spread of Covid-19, we aren’t able to give reliable shipping estimates at this time. For now, we think it’s smart to expect delays. As soon as we are operating again, we'll begin shipping as quick as we can, and communicating with customers about shipping estimates. We know that for many families, this is not the time to buy things that you aren’t guaranteed to receive in the near future. For those who can, we very much appreciate your patience and support. Orders placed now go a long way to ensuring stability for Nugget as we leap into the unknown: a furniture maker without the ability, for the time being, to actually make furniture.

Will I be charged tax?

If your delivery address is in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington or Wisconsin - yes. We are required by law to collect sales taxes in those states, either because of our physical presence or economic nexus (a certain threshold of business, determined by each state). The total tax rate is the exact same as you would pay in a local store (in the same tax jurisdiction as the order’s delivery address).

Can I order through a third-party shipper?

Yes, Nugget orders can be placed with third-party shippers for delivery outside of the United States. However, we cannot guarantee our usual standard of customer service for orders placed through these entities. For many customer matters, including missing or damaged packages, as well as returns, Nugget’s Customer team will only engage with the person or entity that received the shipment (even if that is not the end customer). If that third-party recipient cannot or will not take part in resolving the issue on behalf of the customer, there will not be a resolution. We’re sorry we can’t offer more support in these situations, but trying to conduct customer service with more than two parties involved has been too difficult for our Customer team, and rarely ends well. For any customer who can receive their shipment directly from Nugget (including Canadians), we encourage you to have orders shipped directly to your home!

Can I use PayPal?

We are not accepting PayPal at this time. We will update customers as soon as it is back as a payment option! 

Can I change the shipping address on an order?

Within 1 hour of your order, we can correct any typos in the street name or city of your order. Due to varying state taxes, errors in state or zip will need to be cancelled. Email hq@nuggetcomfort.com with subject line CANCEL and your Order #.

I’m a #NorthernNuggeteer in Canada. How long will shipping take, and what will it cost?

It’s fast, 2-3 business days to your door once it leaves HQ. We subsidize the shipping cost, so you’ll only pay $39 (FedEx Zone A), $49 (FedEx Zone B), or $89 (FedEx Remote Service Area) per Nugget. You can check the shipping cost to your location in checkout before you enter your payment info.

How does ordering a Nugget to a Canadian address work?

All prices listed on our site are in USD, not CAD. We cover duties and Customs clearance, and you’ll pay tax in Checkout, so there are no duty and tax surprises when it arrives - we hear that’s refreshing. We don't offer free returns for Canadian orders, but our 1-year manufacturing quality guarantee still applies.

Can I have a delayed ship date?

Sorry, we wish we could accommodate a delayed date for each customer! Since Nuggets shouldn't be left wrapped up in their box very long, we ship them right after they're made, and can’t leave them waiting on a shelf. Delayed shipping would mean those Nuggets would have to be produced later in the year, which would get in the way of serving other customers.

Where do you ship?

We ship from our warehouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina to all corners of the United States — including Alaska, Hawaii, and all U.S. Territories — as well as Canada.

Is shipping really free?

To the entire contiguous United States, yes! For non-contiguous U.S. locations, we do have additional shipping costs per Nugget: $59 to Alaska/Hawaii/Puerto Rico/USVI, $79 to Guam/Samoa/Palau, and $19 to all APO/FPO/DPO addresses. For orders headed to Canada, the shipping cost is $39, $49 or $89 USD, depending on your location.

What comes in the box?

Each Nugget ships in a big orange box, and a full set is four pieces. The four pieces (two supportive pillows, one thinner soft seat cushion, and one thicker sturdy base) are compressed and rolled tightly in the box — then shipped via right to your door.

Do you offer a discount if I buy more than one?

Yes  because the only thing more fun than one Nugget is two. We offer a Multipack discount automatically in the cart. We’ll take off $25 per each additional Nugget in the cart — so you can save $25 on a 2-pack, $50 on a 3-pack, and $75 on a 4-pack, and so on. Just add the Nuggets you want in your cart, and the discount will automatically apply!

Where can I buy a Nugget?

We value being able to pack and ship each Nugget here at Nugget HQ in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Because we make and ship all Nuggets, the only place to buy a Nugget or Nugget cover set is right here on our site.

Can I buy covers separately?

Yes! Nuggets never come naked (without covers), but we know our customers like to be able to easily switch out the colors of their Nuggets with separate cover sets. Having an extra set on hand is super helpful for laundry day, too. You can buy extra covers at this link. A full Nugget cover set is $99 and comes with free shipping.

Do you sell individual pieces?

Sorry! Right now, we’re optimizing our systems (manufacturing and shipping) for getting full sets of Nuggets out the door and we do not yet sell individual pieces.

Can I get a multi-colored Nugget?

There’s no way to buy a Mix and Match Nugget, but that doesn’t mean your dream Nugget color combination can’t be yours. With extra cover sets ($99 each), or just additional Nuggets, you can curate your Nugget color scheme to your heart’s delight.

Do you accept purchase orders?

Sorry, because purchase orders would require us to send product before receiving funds, which delays our processes in our warehouse, we are unable to accept purchase orders. For all Nugget orders, we ask our customers to enter in card info directly into our secure payment platform.

How does Affirm work?

Affirm allows you to split your Nugget purchases into three interest-free payments across three months. Once you've chosen Affirm as your payment option, you will be prompted to create an account with Affirm. Once your application has been authorized, you'll instantly be notified of the loan amount and terms, and you will be able to complete the sale. Due to state regulations, Affirm is not available for customers in Iowa or West Virginia.

Do Nuggets ever go on sale?

Sorry, we don’t do big discounts or sales at Nugget. But it’s not all bad: keeping our price point consistent year-round allows us to pay our production staff a living wage, maintain our commitment to high-quality materials, and treat our customers fairly, past and present, no matter what time of year they purchased.

What are the dimensions of the box?

We compress and roll and tightly pack your whole Nugget into one super small box. It's 15” x 15” x 34”, and weighs 31 lbs.

How long can I keep it compressed in the box?

Nuggets don't like to live in their boxes, the sooner you can open up your Nugget the better. The Nugget travels to you tightly compressed and wrapped up like a foam burrito — but the longer it’s in there, the longer it will take to pop back to form and un-wrinkle, so we strongly recommend you open your box as soon as it lands on your front doorstep! Nuggets left in their box longer than 15 days from delivery will not be covered by our product defect guarantee.

Can I cancel my order?

You bet. If you no longer want your order, or need to make edits to color, quantity, or shipping address, please email us at hq@nuggetcomfort.com within 1 HOUR of purchase with the subject line CANCEL ORDER (and your Order #). We can cancel the order and allow you to repurchase the desired items if still available, but we aren't able to guarantee their availability. Once a return is initiated, funds will be released immediately, but depending on your bank it may take 3-10 days for the credit to post to your account.

How long will my color be in stock?

Nuggets are divided into three groups: Classic, Limited Edition, and Special Edition.

Classics, like Koala or Submarine, are staples of the Nugget lineup and we do our best to keep them well-stocked. If a classic sells out, we’ll work right away on a restock, unless it’s otherwise communicated that it was making its way to retirement.

Limited Editions will always restock at least once, but beyond that is up for debate. If a Limited Edition is on its final run, we will announce it in advance!

Special Editions are one-time runs that won’t be printed again! This often includes prints and collaborations with brands or designers.

Can I create an account?

Sure thing. When you click “Account” in the navigation menu (upper right of the screen on desktop, upper left corner of the screen on mobile), you’ll be prompted to select an email and password for your account. If you’ve ordered from us before and want to see all your past and future orders in one place, make sure to use the same email you’ve used on past orders!
