A Nuggety Styling Guide: Surfside Edition
Cowabunga, dudes! Our breezy, eventide blue just wandered up to the surf shack. This double-brushed microsuede is available to shop now as a Nugget and Cover Set.
Surfside is part of our brand new Coastal Collection, which means we love how well it embodies the relaxed, West-Coast Cali-cool vibe. We know that’s not everyone’s personal aesthetic — so we designed this cool neutral to complement any interior design style — from modern to bohemian, traditional to contemporary. Keep scrolling for more on how to style Surfside and our top Nuggety pairings recommendations for this easy rider.
Texture is Everything
How does Surfside compare to other colors in the Nuggetverse? It can look almost gray in low light, but it certainly isn't as classically gray neutral as Koala. Surfside is the perfect cool neutral blue: it’s far less saturated than Neptune, and it lacks the green tones of Atlantis.
Surfside is inspired by Daybreak, so it may look somewhat familiar, but our ultra-soft double-brushed microsuede gives this new color a more heathered texture with a subtle sheen. Surfside’s texture reflects more light, so we think it has a richer, more dynamic appearance than Daybreak.
To really highlight the cool tones of Surfside, try incorporating warm textures nearby, such as wood furniture pieces, textured throw pillows and blankets, and vintage-inspired rugs.
Surfside’s Best Surfing Pairs
Surfside pairs beautifully with our other popular neutrals — it adds a calm, soothing vibe when paired with dark neutrals like cozy charcoal Harbor (also a double-brushed microsuede!). Surfside offers a relaxing splash of color alongside Koala or Dunebuggy, a beachy, vintage beige — our other brand new Coastal Collection release.
Pair Surfside with grounded navy Blueridge, or add exotic Atlantis for a truly ocean-inspired look. Complete the Coastal Collection vibe by adding Dunebuggy, along with monochromatic art, soft lighting, and houseplants and greenery.
If you’re going for a retro feel, you can pair Surfside with Brightside or Rodeo for a great 70s vibe. You can level up this style by mixing in some interesting textures — such as cane paneling on a sideboard, or handwoven baskets or poufs.
For those who need bright colors in their life, grab your sunglasses. Surfside can also pair with Fairway, Lolly, or Starfish.
The Coastal Collection: Double the double-brushed goodness
Ready to ride the tide — literally and metaphorically? Surfside and Dunebuggy know all the best local spots — and they’re ready to roll.
