The ABCs and 123s of the Nugget x Sesame Street Lottery
We’ve made our way over to Sesame Street with our latest collaboration: The Elmo Nugget! Can’t wait to snuggle with your very own furry friend? Read on for all the directions to enter the Nugget x Sesame Street lottery for an Elmo Nugget or Elmo Cover Set.
How to Enter the Nugget x Sesame Street Lottery
Step 1: Set up a Nugget Account
To create an Account, click "Account" in the main navigation menu (located at the bottom of the hamburger menu on mobile, or the upper right corner on desktop). From there, you can either login to an existing Account or click the link to create a new one. Complete the required steps, and take note of your password.
Step 2: Verify your identity
Please visit this page to log into your Account and verify your identity. (Make sure you have your mobile phone handy — you'll need it to complete this step!) Once you’re logged into your account on the lottery page, you'll be prompted to enter a cell phone number and mailing address for identity verification (this helps us keep non-humans out). Type in your information and hit submit.
Within a few minutes, you should receive a verification code to your cell phone via text.
If you don't receive this code, or you’d rather receive the verification via phone call, there is an option to either resend the code via text or request a phone call. Once you receive the code, via text or call, enter it into the verification box on the lottery website, and hit submit.
Step 3: Make your selections
Once you’ve verified your identity, you’ll be able to make your lottery selections! The lottery will be open from 12pm ET on Wednesday, November 17th to 9am ET on Monday, November 22nd — make sure to save your choices by Monday at 9am. You may register for both the full Nugget and Cover Set lotteries, but you will only be eligible to win one. Please note that we will be selecting the Cover Set winners first, and full Nuggets second — this means that if you’re selected for the Cover Set, you will not be included in the Nugget drawing. Please register accordingly, knowing this approach to selection!
Your place in line does not matter — the drawings for both products will be totally random. You may enter at any time between 11/17 at 12pm ET through 11/22 at 9am ET, so please take your time, and make sure to enter your information correctly. Due to the volume of people who will be entering, if you run into any technical issues, our Customer team may not be able to troubleshoot individual issues, and you will have to create a new store account and try again.
Step 4: Save your selections
Hit submit to save your choices, and you're all set — you've entered the Nugget x Sesame Street lottery! All registrants will be notified on Monday, 11/22, whether or not they're selected. Read below for all the details!

How long is the lottery window open?
The lottery will be open from 12pm ET on Wednesday, November 17th to 9am ET on Monday, November 22nd.
How do I check that my selections are submitted?
Visit the lottery page, login to your account, and you should see your selection confirmation page!
What does it mean if I’m selected through the lottery?
It means that it’s time to do the happy dance! All registrants will be notified on Monday, 11/22. If you’re selected, you’ll receive two emails. The first email will let you know which product you’re eligible to purchase — either a full Nugget or a Cover Set, depending on which lotteries you entered. Later, you’ll receive a separate email with a special checkout link (it may take up to a few hours for this email to land in your inbox, so please be patient!) — once you receive the second email, your checkout link will be active for 48 hours, so make sure that you complete the purchase ASAP if you’d like to do so.
If you’re having trouble locating the email with the checkout link, please check your Spam folder. If you still haven’t received the email with the checkout link after 24 hours, please reach out to our customer team at hq@nuggetcomfort.com and they’ll be happy to assist.
Please note that being selected for the lottery does not mean you win a free product, but rather the chance to purchase using your special checkout link.
If I’m not selected through the lottery, will I still receive a notification after the drawing?
Yes. All lottery participants will receive an email notification after the lottery drawing, whether or not they’re selected.
What if my name is drawn for an Elmo Cover Set, but I really wanted the full Nugget?
Each lottery participant is only eligible to win one drawing, but you’re welcome to enter both to increase your chances of being able to purchase at least one version of this Special Edition product (either a full Nugget or a Cover Set). The drawing for Cover Sets will take place first; once those winners have been selected, we’ll select separate winners for full Elmo Nuggets.
If your name is selected in one of our drawings, you’ll only be eligible to purchase the product that you were drawn for — our team will not be able to change or edit the product type or quantity.
Will Nugget x Sesame Street orders arrive in time for the holidays?
Nuggets ordered on or after November 22nd, including Elmo Nuggets, will not ship in 2021. That said, our team has hustled to cut down on shipping times for Cover Sets, and while we can't guarantee it, we expect many Elmo Cover Sets to arrive at homes by 12/24.
Pandemic and natural disaster-related limitations on materials this year, specifically foam, mean that the supply of Nugget materials isn’t what it should be. The good news is that Cover Sets don’t require those materials, which is why we’ve been able to get them packed up and ready to go at a faster pace!
Please note that all Nuggets will continue to leave our warehouse within the shipping estimate provided at the time of ordering, which means we expect Elmo Nuggets to leave our warehouse in January 2022. The current shipping window is within eight weeks. Thank you for your patience this holiday season!
If I win the lottery but change my mind, do I have to complete my purchase?
No – if you’re selected in one of the drawings, there is no obligation to complete the purchase. Just keep in mind that your personal checkout link will expire after 48 hours, so make sure you decide before then!
Can multiple family members enter the lottery? If we both win and we have the same address, do we get to keep both?
Due to the limited nature of this Special Edition product, we’re leaning on our customers to be community-minded in their approach to purchasing. We will do our best to maintain the same 1 Nugget/Cover Set per customer/household rules that we observed during last year’s lottery. The chances of a customer successfully purchasing more than one product are low, but in cases where we detect it, we reserve the right to cancel all orders in violation of this policy. Additionally, if our team is notified of any orders that violate our general Terms and Conditions, those orders may also be canceled.
Can I use a gift card to pay for my lottery order?
Yes! If you win a drawing, you’ll receive a link to complete your order and you’ll be able to use any gift cards that you’ve purchased. Any shop credits or discount codes that have been issued through social media promotions or giveaways will not work for Special Edition, licensed products.
